Vertical platform lifts are the most popular alternative to unsightly ramps, and in some cases, low rise elevators. These lifts overcome architectural barriers with cost and efficiency as they lift a person just a few inches to heights of up to 12 feet. We offer a variety of different models to choose from, but in general there are two application concepts that apply. A commercial vertical lift installation needs to have an "enclosure/shaftway" around it. This can be accomplished in one of two ways:

• "Standard" model -- This model is installed onsite into a masonry or stud drywall enclosure furnished by others (i.e. building owner, general contractor).

- OR -

• "Factory Enclosed" model -- This model basically comes self contained with its own wraparound, non fire-rated, shaftway enclosure; complete with gates, doors, interlocks, and controls.

Many times, either application/model is an option for a project, although usually one of the two fits the specific project design requirements better. Often a fire-rated design requirement quickly determines which is the correct application.
